In general, the busiest time to move is in the summer, such as from June to September. There is also a period around the end of the year that is a small peak season for moving. If you plan to move during this time, it is best to decide as soon as possible. In addition to the peak season, the usual Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are moving busy days. If you can adjust your schedule, it’s better during the week, not the weekend, to avoid conflict with other people. Of course, if you really need it is also possible to move on weekends, but you need to plan ahead, make an appointment and get ready.
In our experience, to save moving time, reduce moving costs, we recommend after you decide to move when the time is up, start preparing for the following:
To determine the items that must be removed when moving. After eliminating unnecessary items, first put the items that need to be eliminated, that should be donated, throw away. Free up more time and space to organize what to take away.
If possible, for those that must be taken away items, classified storage in different places and locations, such as bulky items, valuables, small items. Classify storage of items, etc.
We charge by the hour. We accept check or cash payment.
Yes, we have a minimum charge requirement, but we will notify you when booking.
If you are moving into a pantry or POD, $15 per blanket, $12 refundable on return.
No, we do not charge extra to move ordinary household items downstairs or upstairs. However, if you have pianos, refrigerators, electrical appliances, heavy fitness equipment, etc. 3 porters are required to move these items, therefore may require extra charge.
We will wrap with blankets, shrink wrap or film etc. items such as televisions, furniture, and beds, etc., are handled with care to ensure that it is not damaged during handling. If it is clothing, we will provide a trunk(Wardrobe boxes) for your clothes.
Upon request, we will place the blankets we carry in carpets or floors that need to pass through during handling. Some blankets are free to use, you don’t need to pay extra. Please note that to keep workers safe when they are moving, they need to wear shoes. Please don’t let our movers take them off.
Let our workers use blanket protection on the rails if necessary. We have plenty of blankets to use for free. If you are concerned about damage to the wall, please place cardboard to protect the wall before moving.
Before movers arrive at your home, your pet must either tied to a rope or locked in a cage. No live animals are allowed to be transported by moving company, including cats, dogs, fish, or other reptiles, etc.
On the day of the move, you must have the main family members present. Because you need to tell the porter exactly the items you are moving and confirm when you’ll start moving.
Of course, we do! We will carry our mobile equipment. Please note that we may still drive trucks and only engage in labor work. Minimum working hours and travel time remain. It applies to labor-only jobs.
This is just a general guidance:
- Studio / Single Bedroom: 2-4 hours
- 2 rooms: 4-6 hours
- 3 rooms: 5-7 hours
- 4 rooms usually take a full day
These times include some basic assembly/disassembly and large type furniture packaging. Please don’t forget the garage and patio. This applies only to loading and unloading, plus travel time.
We usually start at 8:00am in the morning, especially during peak seasons and weekends. 4:00-6:00pm is the latest time we work.
We know things will come out of nowhere and plans will change, so we have an easy cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or change your date or time, you can call or text us, or reply to this email with the request information. we are happy to adjust the date or time of your move. Please notify us as soon as possible of any changes to your appointment.
